The thing is people gamble different when there is less money at stake. This is normal behavior but when you analyze it you will see taking more risk when there is less money at stake leads to bigger earnings alltogether. Which is why you can more easily achieve 700& win with a small amount of bitcoin, then with a larger amount of bitcoin.

He actually converted 0.5 mBTC to 8 mBTC, which is actually only roughly 0.008 BTC, but it is still a huge increase from his starting point. Winning 8 BTC would be much more impressive. However, like others have said, it seems to be an advert for their site.
