The USD is doubtless used for the most illegal activities in the world, but other currencies are used as well for illegal activities. The government can prohibit what they want, illegal activities will always exist and in most times paid in cash.

You mean illegal transactions. US dollars or other fiats are being the payment of their activities and if they want a little bit of anonymity, they use bitcoin. And yes, illegal activities will always exist to balance the world. We can't just leave at peace because that will be really making the world not balanced.

Though US dollars are not that used because it always depends on the country, and if another country will be paying another country, they will use a currency that has a higher value than US dollar.

All currencies are subject to be used in illegal activities like drug dealing, funding terrorism, illegal arms dealing etc. I believe its one of the most abused things in the world, existence of money creates more evil and greedy people but not all.

As you said, the currencies or even all the things has a bad side and good side. Even bitcoin and other currencies like USD is being used in illegal transactions but even until now the usage of bitcoin in illegal transactions are still high because it is anonymous so the authorities will have a hard time in tracing them which is an advantage for the people who want to be anonymous in transacting illegal possessions.

I didn't saw this thread, and I'm going trough comments and I'm a bit surprised that discussion about this is last so much. Everyone and everything can be used for illegal activities and for evil agendas, nothing is immune. That is the logic, can someone explain me how can plant's that grows from the ground can be illegal? Who is that man that gave so much power to himself to claim something like that? Legal and illegal is in the end one man opinion. It doesn't represent what is good and bad in reality, I don't agree with many laws in this world, most of them are stupid and without any sense.

Well aren't we being a little bit racist (in money), as we all know currency has two main use; first is payment and second is income. We pay for a thing or for a service that we wanted or we needed, and income we receive fiat in exchange of a specific item or a service.

You mentioned the government's control over the strength of dollars, but its the fault is on the humans, there will always be reasons behind these illegal activities.

I am pretty sure that when goons smash into convenience stores and steal stuff, then the money they probably steal is USD, which makes it criminal currency. Also, I am pretty sure that the baseball bats that majority of the goons have bought were paid for by the USD.

Also, most people collect rain water, drink raw milk, and throw cannabis seeds in soil, all three acts which are considered serious illegal felonies punishable by seriously expensive fines and extensive jail time, possibly life in prison.

Some people also walk, drive, fish, or hunt without a permit that can easily be bought for in USD.

Any currency could be used for legal or illegal activities.So USD could also be used for such activities.But since USD is a global currency,it could be used world wide to do such activities and those who pay for such acts may find USD as easy to pay since it is globally accepted.

Yes every kind of currency is being used for illegal currency like selling and buying drugs. Maybe this is the reason why the governments cannot legalize bitcoin because they think bitcoin is being used for illegal or criminal activities, that's we need to ban the people who are using bitcoin for illegal activities.

Am I the only one who feels that governments spy on their citizens and fear us more than the meanest terrorists and are not ashamed to use illegal methods to control and still our savings made in national currencies? Exactly, nothing is more anonymous than cash. Most of the illegal activities are funded through cash. Bitcoin which is still known to some million people is not that useful in illegal activities as cash. Terrorists are mostly funded by governments and banks and all of that is done through cash. Not a currency (bitcoin) which can be traced.

As I said before fiat currencie is being used for several years to do any kind of deals, no matter if legal/illegal and there is no way to stop it since countries keep trying nowadays without success. People behind illegal activities did follow the innovation, and the most of them run legal business, or has a good strategy to avoid be arrested.
