Sticking to your principles and not cashing them in for money makes you a much richer person IMO.  Cool

And more important, try at what you believe and eventually it would happen. There is me (real me) trying: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Gm81_b86T8

P.S. More people should see things as you are. That's for sure! Cryptocurrencies needs this...

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

A security alert is incoming. Geth experienced a memory leak and we will soon know more via blog.ethereum.org. Make sure to not run geth for now.

As Gustav-Simonsson puts it here https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/53dfof/geth_crashing_memory_leak/:

Quote
We're looking into it - details so far: https://github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum/issues/3002

More info soon. We will post official security alert at https://blog.ethereum.org/ shortly.

It seems ETH needs more variety in terms of implementation.

ETH started with 3 clients coded in 3 different languages (Go, Python, C++) by 3 different teams...
As a deliberate form of decentralization lacking in Bitcoin.

The Go fanatics effectively killed the other 2...
But, luckily, Dr. Gavin Wood morphed the C++ client into Parity...
Parity is now running the ETH network and everything is stable.

"The perfect is the enemy of the good"...
At least the Ethereum group has the balls to release their flawed vision...
And take a FUCKING BEATING for 2 years as the platform gets hardened day by day.

Unlike the usual suspects here who grandstand and attack every Alt year after year...
WHILE ACCOMPLISHING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Unstoppable Turing complete code LMAO  Grin

This is maybe a trick by Vitalik to give him a root password to the chain ?  After PoW and PoS, we will also have PoV ?

Now, one has to be fair, bitcoin experienced similar things too, when its market cap was $100.

Should a coin with eth's current marketcap being experiencing things like this? I'm open to discussion.

I don't see the point of a hypothetical question, when reality just proved it.  A coin with ETH's market cap DID experience this.
Your question is akin to "should the moon undergo earth's gravity ?" .

Or maybe you meant something else ?

Minor bug was identified. Community pulled together. Geth update released. Price hardly affected.

As I said before there is absolutely no reason for all the trolling shitpost and shittweets other than haters wanting to troll.

Price hardly affected.

That's because Ethereum has MANY lobbyists & Poloniex disabled their wallets. Welcome to the "decentralization" & "revolution".

That's because Ethereum has MANY lobbyists & Poloniex disabled their wallets. Welcome to the "decentralization" & "revolution".

So if you really think or know that then why tweet:

"#Ethereum is going to lose much of its value in the next few hours! Current price is 0.02040310 #BTC. #fintech #finance"

That is unless you actually have a hidden and nefarious agenda, because a few hours later look we are back at 0.02133180.

If you panic so much and it makes your genuinely angry at the slightest bug or hack then I'd suggest that crypto is not for you. Nothing wrong with that, just move into and follow an industry that you find more comfortable.

Gud luck.

You are a retard and you always pop up when you feel comfortable. When you come here with some real arguments (and opinion), I will discuss with you whatever you like. Until then:

Minecache, you can suck my balls, because you are not aware of the consequences caused by the Geth bug. But I can't explain that to you, even If I do my best.

Fuck you.

yes, the thread has degenerated a bit into some back and forth. guys cant we all just get along?

if you cloned and build the git repo from scratch re-enter that main directory and "git pull origin master" afterwards rebuild and recopying geth into your /usr/bin directory after.. otherwise if you installed from packages then apt-get update and apt-get upgrade to have new geth installed automatically.

if you're running windows, may god help you.
