BLK is one of those coins I always hope will do something, but I seem to be always left hoping.

you won't be waiting for long, BLK is one of those coins that sees a rather big pump every now and then, you just have to be patient and see the accumulation phase and get in when there is a dip to have the maximum profit.

Not just BLK, many coins experience that every now and then as you have said...
But there are reasons and when those reasonable reasons won't be available, even such coins would end in dust...
The only thing to be done is, never become a bagholder, at least not in long term...

Blackcoin can be pumped. Pumpers don't look at what they're pumping a second.  It needs to meet a few criteria and that's the principal.

it don't even need that. they pumped fibrecoin and that didn't even have a blockchain that worked. it was delisted a short time later. as long as it's on there it'll get a pump.

however if bitcoin really goes for it it's gonna be very interesting to see what happens with alts considering they've been pumping all year already.

Nothing will happen to the alts, they will continue their pumping party because if you really look at it, they help in adding momentum to btc since it is the base currency for almost all trades.

Indeed, anything can be pumped. The Fibrecoin case was just ridiculous and almost comical since it was pretty much an abandoned coin. It was a pretty useless pump tho if you had big amounts, you couldn't sell all of it due the small volume. Good pumps require big volume, not only big price.

he is talking about the criteria for getting pumped and you are thinking about other things that has nothing to do with pumping or not. to pump a coin you don't need to have blockchain, everything is being done on the exchanger not on the blockchain of that altcoin.

that's my point. there is no criteria. no one cares. as long as it's on an exchange that's enough.

BLK can 10x when/if Zimbeck open-sources BlackHalo, if he does it soon.  Then BLK could be like "Hey, we're a stable and mature alternative to this forky risky ETH stuff!"

Otherwise 10x is a big big ask.

I won't believe he's open-sourcing BlackHalo until he does it as I thought he was going to have done it like a year ago.

then again, the coin that is being pumped needs to meet some criteria to be pumped you can't go around pump anything that exists.
for example there should be a minimal activity on that coin before getting pumped, otherwise there would be nobody there to buy the coins from you on top!

and not all rises are pumps. for example yobit is rising prices of some random coins each day but they do it by buying and then selling to themselves. they don't earn anything in the process and only raise the daily traded volume this way. that is why i believe they will go under in the near future.
