Hi !

I would like to ask if a CoolerMaster Real Power M700 (700W / 840W Max) will run 2x : XFX 5870 ? It has only 2x PCI-E Connectors, but I can always plug in molex.

I though I will use 1 PCI-E connector and one Molex to PCI-E connector on each card. Is it safe?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

You could run 3x5870 on that PSU and still have plenty to spare, especially if you use a low-end CPU like a sempron or pentium 4.

i got phenom II x3, but i set it to use 2 core and EPU (max 15W)

but could you tell me what is safer: 2xPCI-E connectors on 1 card and 2x molex to pcie connectors on second, or 1xpci-e + 1xmolex to pci-e on each card?

Electricity is electricity. Whatever urban legends you've heard about molex -> 6pins being unsafe, are just that; Legends.
They wouldn't ship with the cards if they weren't fit for use.

I've had molex to 6-pin adapters in 2 of my cards for ~8 months 24/7. They work just fine.

As long as you get the 150W total from both cables, it doesn't matter whether it comes from a native PCI-e 6pin or a molex to 6 pin adapter.
