lets have a moment of silence while we remember all the potential rocket scientists and cancer curers that were lost on that day Survivors from a boat which capsized off the Egyptian coast on Wednesday have told the BBC that hundreds of people may have drowned.
The boat was carrying about 550 migrants when it capsized eight miles (12km) off the coast, they say. Authorities have rescued 163 people and recovered 42 bodies so far off the port city of Rosetta.
Four crew members have been arrested in connection with incident, Egyptian officials said.
They are suspected of involuntary manslaughter and human trafficking, judicial officials were reported as saying.
The incident came after the EU's border agency warned that increasing numbers of Europe-bound migrants are using Egypt as a departure point.

Be radical, have principles, be absolute, be that which the bourgeoisie calls an extremist: give yourself without counting or calculating, don't accept what they call ‘the reality of life' and act in such a way that you won't be accepted by that kind of ‘life', never abandon the principle of struggle.

The bigger tragedy is that probably most of them were Muslims, and have gone to Hell because they didn't have Jesus salvation.

The bigger tragedy is that probably most of them were Muslims, and have gone to Hell because they didn't have Jesus salvation. Migrants using the Central Mediterranean route can be both Muslim and Christian. Those from Gambia, Senegal.etc tend to be Muslim, while those from countries such as Ethiopia, Eritrea, Ghana, Togo.etc tend to be mostly Christian. Sometimes this can lead to tensions as well. Last year, the Muslim captain of a migrant boat threw out a dozen or so Christians, after he observed them praying.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-37439294You are right, it's really sad. This people didn't start this very dangerous trip because they hated West or wanted to become terrorists. They started it in order to make better future for their kids and to survive. All of us, in their situation, will do the same. It's tragedy really that many countries now, special in EU, don't want to help them and receive them. They are not numbers but real human and deserve really our compassion, understanding and support.

I understand not wanting them in your country. But to have people die a horrible death and completely turn off all of your emotions, only people with criminal tendencies do that. And in this case the OP probably thinks that a self focused person like himself is not a burden to the world. He probably puts himself in the same eye as a scientist.

emotions are why we have let millions of african and islamic parasites and criminals into europe. because sinking one or two boats - all it would have taken to have sent the message to the rest not to come - was too cruel and inhumane. don't be the weakling character in zombie movies that can't bring himself to shoot the reanimated corpse of his relative and gets everyone else killed because of his faggotry. switching off our emotions is exactly what we need to do at this point in time. europe's survival is more important than your feelings.

So sad to hear and read this news. People , migrant workers are leaving their country from war, opportunity and so forth. Its survival for them, its so sad that those innocent children suffers. I can't take to watch those videos from war in Syria, as children's are crying, dying and being left unattended.

Have to agree with you here. These immigrants knew about the risks involved, when they decided to undertake the journey. And now it is not possible to blame the Europeans for their tragic death. The Europeans never asked them to come to the continent in old fishing boats. Europe is already over-run with immigrants, and it can't take in any additional immigrant.

It is sad to be hearing reports of 'migrant boats' capsizing in the high seas. I always ask myself why people have to risk by overloading the boats dangerously. isn't there any other way that can be used other than the small boats being used?. I know there are people making a lot of money through these means but it is so unfortunate.

yeah I agree. I don't think its right that even innocent children have to suffer fates likes these I mean they didn't do anything wrong. it's also sad that people are judging them because of their religion and culture. come on we have no idea about what these people went through.
