Wallets - couple of questions

Hi,

Could of newbie questions for you!

- I have encrypted/created backups of my wallet, should I need delete the wallet.dat file?
- Can you use the wallet to also hold litecoin?

For litecoin you need another wallet file.

After encrypting move the original wallet.dat to another location. Then start up your bitcoin client and make sure the encrypted wallet works correctly. Then reboot, then make sure the encrypted wallet still works correctly. When you are eventually satisfied, you can delete the original file, or else save it as a backup.
