Thats a really great initiative, hopefully such things would keep growing in the world which can be a great help to bitcoin technology to spread in all the countries of the world and to be adopted by bigger resources in coming time.

They usually post some videos on Youtube about these Bitcoin Air drops, and I am not seeing anything. I hope this is not another BS

article being posted to hype up Bitcoin. The idea is great, because we need some younger and tech savy students to be exposed to this

new technology. If anyone can possibly post something about this, please do.  Wink

I think you watch to much porn, it's not cum but come as a verb to come here in the forum as I guess that's what you mean by your last sentence of the quoted post : ). It's really good to stimulate students to use bitcoins cause maybe the next genius of cryptography is right there at any of these universities.

By the way too much porn is bad for your health Smiley .

Who pays for this? Half a million dollars is a lot of money to give away.

I find ti hs a very good initiative as well.
150 dollar is enough money to make an effort to use it. Either way they convert it to fiat, or use it And when they use it and see there is less fees hopefully they stay onto bitcoin as users or maybe even start developing apps for bitcoin. Wouldn't that be great?

Well I find this very cool indeed, if true.  I never know what to believe with bitcoin news--it's almost like reading precious metals articles.  They all tend to hype everything up.  I'm not a programmer or anything like that, but I'm hoping people much smarter than me can utilize bitcoin and blockchain tech for everyone's good.  And Chicago's got some damn fine schools there.

How much is tuition at Chicago university?
If it costs $10,000 to enroll, it isn't a good deal to get $150 worth of BTC as a bonus. Is it OK if you spend them on illegal substances like many students would be tempted to do?

This university has a pretty class A students in the technology area. I was there in Feb 2015 by invitation of a friend and I was really out of m mind. It was the fouth american iniversity I visited and every time I'm astunished with the quality of these universities. Some others around the world are decades ago from them. First time I saw students with feeling for Bitcoins was in Seoul in 2013, and in USA in the Stanford University... but USA has so many great universities I can't worte here, it's a huge list and in comparison with the rest of the world they are the best.. but few other places are great too, like Eastern European universities, Australia and so on... the campus always will be a good cradle for this kinda ideas. I hope students in poor countries catch the same feeling and the same way of associate groups, ideas and technology.

No reputable news outlet would fake such news. So I guess the news is legit and this news is very very good. It's gives young people to learn about bitcoin and be motivated to use those bitcoin.
150 dollars is a lot for a student and this initiative should be followed up.

Although that is not from the reliable site, i will giving my appreciate. but i don't believe if that is a real things, because $500000 it's a much amount and that's will not effective caused by the student is just wanna for joining the educational caused by money.

wasn't there an mit airdrop? never heard much about that ever again. I don't think handing stuff out at random ever really works. not sure how they're operating this, but it's way better to get people to register an interest and then hand it over.

This is a great way to introduce students to bitcoin. It can also promote bitcoin and bring in people that have new ideas and uses for bitcoin and other altcoins.
