The laptop i use the most frequent is my workpc. It's currently 2 years old and i get a new one every 4 years.... Runs windows 7 pro, i5, 8 Gb ram, 256 Gb SSD
At home, i use an 7 or 8 years old laptop, it's still 32 bit, 5400 rpm hd. I've installed openSuse on it, since this distro still builds their binaries for both 32 and 64 bit at the same time, so i get regular updates.
When i need some more power, i use my wife's laptop, it's also an i5 with SSD, but it only has 2 Gb ram. It runs debian.

Believe it or not but this is my main computer. IBMX41, it was manufactured in 2006... so, yes it has 10 years and what a decade it was! 10 freaking years of constant working nearly 20/7 and its still kicking. Boots up very fast with lightweight Unix OS, some bigger and heavier websites can slow it down...no miracles it uses only 18W This stock foto is not much different than my x41, looks like it was bought last month. They dont make them any more like that. Its very old. I have also the same laptop. But i cant use it because some parts of it are missing. Tge specs of mine: 258 mb of ram and 100gb of hdd. I dont know the others. But you should be careful with the mouse because its just a nipple that made of rubber and tear so easy. Its better to use usb mouse than the mouse itself.

I have built mine three years ago, and it still handles any new game on ultra high graphics with >60FPS. I am proud with it and I hope it will rest for a few more years until new technologies will come and take it over. I'm planning to buy some new components soon (a video card), but I need to get my money first.

I built my main computer all the way back in 2011. I can't believe it's been that long. And I just don't see any reason to upgrade. We have sort of reach a point where for most people, the benefits aren't going to be that great for the money spent. Being that this is a Bitcoin forum, and people here mine, etc. How often does the average person here upgrade their computer?
Same, I've bought mine back in 2012 but the spec is really bad for today standards, tho I'd be good if only got 2GB or even better 4GB of ram

I'm on an old laptop with 8 GB RAM, and I keep getting out of memory errors when I open too many browser tabs, too many VMs and RDPs sessions, too many torrents ...
