If I were to hire you, would you prefer 14 Bitcoin for one months work, or one Satoshi the 1st day, then that Satoshi turns into 2 the second, then 4 the third, then 8, and so on for 31 days. Don't do the calculations, just gun to your head quick answer.

The one that's doubling clearly. Everyone knows that old 'Do you want $1 million or 1cent that doubles each day' riddle . It's kind of a no brainer as eventually you'll have 'all of the money' lol.
But what does this have to do with anything?!
Edit: 21.47483648BTC. Looks like I made the right choice. Feel free to send them to the Wallet in my address. Thanks!

At the last minute I changed it from 1 Bitcoin to 20. I knew I shouldn't have. But yeah, hopefully other people answer the question without reading the comments. I'll change it.

1 satoshi doubling every day would be 231 satoshis, or about 20 BTC, on the 31st day. The total received would be 232-1 satoshis, or about 40 BTC.

i would surely choose 14btc for one months work only compare on choosing 1 satoshi doubling in 31 days , it wouldnt even touch on 1 btc , try to calculate it, if you are continuing the work for longer years i would choose 1 satoshi per day doubling forever then i would be rich. lol

I take 14 Bitcoin up front. I want the money asap because I do not believe you can pay doubling every day.

Why this question OP? Have you just discovered doubling? The original story is about grains of rice on a chess board. The amount of rice is more than ever produced.

If the work is fixed for a month, then I'll go for 14 Bitcoin fixed rate. However, if the work is more than that, I'll absolutely choose the other way which is doubling 1 Satoshi from the first day up to the last. My decision will really depend on the work's time span.

It`s safer to take 20 bitcoins right now, who knows will you have money to pay all that doubling in the end of the month. Nice riddle by the way, I get its much better option to choose doubling, but with bitcoins I would like to have them faster in my wallet, who knows what can happen in one month. And it would be nice I to try to double that 20 bitcoin alone, that would be a one crazy mission. With 20 btc I can gamble like a pro, much more relaxed then I gamble now.

I would probably select the doubling one ofcourse, everyone knows it would reach way higher than 14 bitcoins if we calculate by doubling the amount everytime for 31 times.

I would pick Einstein’s statement, ‘Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world’ and 100% daily interest is not a bad deal. I am not good at math’s but I am very good when it comes make a deal. I would choose second option of 1 satoshi doubled every day.

I'll go with the former option,I'll get more BTC eventually and that's what matters, but I agree this is a conceiving question and a lot will go for the first option which is actually the less lucrative if you look for it

I don't want to complicate things so much, I would be happy to accept the work for 14BTC per month, I am sure that work is not that easy considering you are giving me that big amount of salary, so what it is? Please tell me now.

Please tell me now. Mate you will get more BTC with the second option because it doubles and in the end the BTC is more than if you just accept 14 BTC so have that in mind

I guess it actually depends on if it doubles for 31 days + you get to keep all of your previous amounts or if you have to give back your previous amount.
January 1st: 1 Satoshi January 2nd: 2 Satoshi January 3rd: 4 Satoshi January 4th: 8 Satoshi January 5th: 16 Satoshi January 6th: 32 Satoshi January 7th: 64 Satoshi January 8th: 128 Satoshi January 9th: 256 Satoshi January 10th: 512 Satoshi January 11th: 1024 Satoshi January 12th: 2048 Satoshi January 13th: 4096 Satoshi January 14th: 8192 Satoshi January 15th: 16384 Satoshi January 16th: 32768 Satoshi January 17th: 65536 Satoshi January 18th: 131072 Satoshi January 19th: 262144 Satoshi January 20th: 524288 Satoshi January 21st: 1048576 Satoshi January 22nd: 2097152 Satoshi January 23rd: 4194304 Satoshi January 24th: 8388608 Satoshi January 25th: 16777216 Satoshi January 26th: 33554432 Satoshi January 27th: 67108864 Satoshi January 28th: 134217728 Satoshi January 29th: 268435456 Satoshi January 30th: 536870912 Satoshi January 31st: 1073741824 Satoshi = 10.73741824 bitcoins

I've done so much martingale on 2x so I know without calculating that if January 31st: 1073741824 Satoshi then if you sum up all the other days of January you'll get (1073741824 - 1) Sats. So the whole payment would be over 21 BTC. But I'd prefer 14 BTC right now because that's a big money too.

Well, thanks for your concern but I'm not a gambling addict. I wasn't saying I'd take those money for gambling. Of course I wasn't going to gamble with such a big amount, but this is just my approach in general: it's better to have something right now than the bigger amount in an unpredictable future.
