Delete your private key. You just lost all your bitcoin, and it probably will never be found. Go spam somewhere else please, and stop creating useless threads. I've sent a PM to coinmixer.se asking for you to be removed from the campaign. Also, how would it be amazing? Seems like a way to really really annoy people.
My point of view is with Online wallets where we do not have private keys in our control
Then your BTC wouldn't be deleted, and your wallet provider will probably spend the BTC. Edit: OP is now permanently banned from the coinmixer.se campaign

i find it amazing there would be a trash button next to the BTC holdings that deletes your BTC in a blink of an eye What's so amazing about it as I am not understanding ? What you are asking is equal that all of us have a feature that can burn real money if we want. We all can do it burn real FIAT cash if we want but where is the amusingness in that ? I don't like this option at all and since no one of the developers have talked about it yet it means they don't like it too. And I also bet no one else in this community likes such option to be added to a bitcoin wallet as it doesn't make any sense.

My point of view is with Online wallets where we do not have private keys in our control In that case just send your bitcoins to a desktop or hardware wallet and is the same thing. We don't need that button in whatever wallet you mean, online or offline wallet it simply doesn't make any sense at all.

Obviuosly we do not want to burn the cash or bitcoin, but i am just imagining if there was such a button of trash, peple would have been afraid of it clicking accidentally.

i find it amazing there would be a trash button next to the BTC holdings that deletes your BTC in a blink of an eye I think it will never be available because for today bitcoin is can be considered as money and there are not people who will delete their money and put them on the trash, except there is not valuable in bitcoin.

No one has ever thought of this idea

i find it amazing there would be a trash button next to the BTC holdings that deletes your BTC in a blink of an eye There are ways to 'destroy' your bitcoins. So if you are really that eager to burn your money you can do it. The easiest way is sending your BTC to bogus address, specially created address with no known private key. Example of addresses that will 'burn' your BTC: - 1BitcoinEaterAddressDontSendf59kuE - 1111111111111111111114oLvT2 - 1CounterpartyXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXUWLpVr

i find it amazing there would be a trash button next to the BTC holdings that deletes your BTC in a blink of an eye I don't see any use of such button. To make bitcoin balance 0 from any address it need to be transferred to another bitcoin address because bitcoin can't be just erased from ledger, it needs to be transferred to another address.

i find it amazing there would be a trash button next to the BTC holdings that deletes your BTC in a blink of an eye Why would you ever need that? Ever? Why would you even consider for this to be a feature on Bitcoin wallets? There simply isn't any need for it. Or is this some half-assed attempt at getting a series of responses so you can spam up your post count?

Delete your private key
OR
Send everything to:
1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa 1bitcoineateraddressdontsendf59kue 1111111111111111111114oLvT2 1CounterpartyXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXUWLpVr
No matter what you do it all has the same affect: you just burned money.

If there is dust (like 0.0000X-0.0005BTC) I mostly just delete the wallet file as it's done in an instant. But when certain wallet files that I'm about to delete contain like 0.001-0.002BTC, I mostly send them to ThePirateBay donation address.

A trash button is a totally stupid idea, but I can easily imagine a wallet sponsored by the Red Cross with a built-in button to donate to the Red Cross (or some other charity...).
If someone actually do it, please indicate the idea is mine.

I think this might rank at the top of the list as the most asinine thread I've seen here yet. As others have said, if you wanted to destroy bitcoins there are plenty of other ways to do it. This idea serves no useful purpose at all. I posted here strictly because if it doesn't get deleted, then I should be compensated for being subjected to it.

I remember that when I closed a certain bank account that had like $3 in it, that I had the option to either "donate" it to the bank, or donate it to a real charity. I of course chose for the charity. That actually isn't a bad idea at all, but I prefer clients to be clean and not offer a feature of donating coins to certain charities to get rid of them. People should do it by themselves.

Bitcoin is a currency not some texts of a message that we will delete. always think about bitcoin the same as you think for your currency. Just think is it possible a delete button in your pocket next to the money in there?

Yeah, can you imagine the 1) Variety, and 2) Quantity, of posts that this forum would then be flooded with? It would be like a Niagara-sized waterfall of diarrhea here, with people whining and bitching about how stupid they were for deleting all of their bitcoin. And you know that's exactly what would happen, too. So yeah, best keep any sort of delete button far, far away from wallets.
