Hello,
I would like a little bit of help.
I posted in the technical help but it is quite urgent, sorry for the double post.

I am trying to withdraw funds from my Mt.Gox account via sending 15btc to an external BTC address.
Unfortunately every time I try to send, no matter what the settings, I get the message;
'Your account is currently pending review, please visit https://mtgox.com/forms/verification'

I have not submitted for verification (I don't think) and I have never tried to withdraw before (so I have not gone over my limit).

If anybody has any input I would be very appreciative as I need to withdraw as fast as I can.
Thank you!

i dont think there is any way around, but one of the mods may have an answer.  I submitted my info on Friday night to learn I was #8200 in line for verification.  Yesterday I moved up 60 spots to #7140!  Im afraid to look today...Id expect a ton of verification requests this weekend!

Good Luck!

So you HAVE to verify in order to withdraw at all?
The yellow box says I am able to withdraw 100BTC today.

Thanks.

Did you access the site using Tor?   If so, (or for whatever over reason they deem necessary) Mt. Gox may put your account on hold until you verify your account.  It is in the user agreement when you sign up.

I think the fact that it's Easter holiday weekend is slowing down the whole bitcoin community.  There has been way less action this weekend on all the major BTC sites.

The yellow box says I am able to withdraw 100BTC today.

Thanks.

I've been able to withdraw from mtgox, both BTC and mtgoxUSD codes (up to the limit of $1000 per 24 hours or something) for years. It worked a week ago.

Now I also get the message: "Your account is currently pending review, please visit https://mtgox.com/forms/verification"

Worked fine a week ago, now this.

Contacted support, but it seems this takes 3 days.

What is this. Just setting my account to "pending verification" and not even an email about the reasons???

Same happened to me quite recently. I already thought it was ridiculous, but I'm judging by your status that you've been an even longer and more active Mt. Gox user than I have. This is pretty stupid.

It's pretty standard, if you ever played online poker you'd have encountered it too. They're very lax when it comes to depositing, but when it comes to withdrawing you first have to supply some proof about your identity before you can withdraw or transfer off a site.

Done plenty of withdrawals, though.

I never had a problem withdrawing bitcoins or mtgoxUSD codes in 2 years. Now it happens. I talked to neofutur for a bit on #mtgox and other than having used tor or having logged in from different countries (!?!) the only reason he could speculate about was that aml shit was triggered.

I didn't withdraw more than $4000 dollars this year. Maybe if you add bitcoins (I reduced my trading funds on gox substantially by withdrawing bitcoins), but I can't see how withdrawing bitcoins would trigger any money laundering tresholds. I never withdrew dollars from gox to any bank account.

So I'm still dumbstruck. I submitted a support ticket, let's see what'll happen.

Sux to have funds frozen.

The other roadblock I've heard of in this verification process at MtGox is that your drivers license and utility bill *have* be in the same name. No abbreviations, shortening, William/Bill, Kathleen/Kathy, none of that!

What a pain. I have been patiently waiting as my application climbs up the list, I'm now #8860, up from 11,800. Now I wonder if it will be rejected once I reach the top because my name does not match exactly!
