Welcome back Roger. Are you aware of the fact that Mircea Popescu has said he'll flood the market with his stash if Classic wins ?
It his highly likely that the majority of the holders will start selling everything. I'll join them as well. Classic is an abomination almost rivaling the case of the recent outbreak of hearnia. I'm not sure how this exactly is relevant to the thread. If anything this thread should be trashed.

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

I'm a Bitcoin 1%'er myself and will also be dumping my holdings if Classic wins.

Fuck anything involving Roger Ver.

I'm a 0.0001%er and I will dump ALL my holdings if we start forking all over the place. You have been warned.

Bitcoin Classic is nothing more than an altcoin without the support of the core devs and eventually the miners.
I suspect you will be proven wrong within a few short weeks.
You really think the old cypherpunk guard will just blow over?! You should spend more time here in the trenches. This will get ugly.

Forgive my petulance and oft-times, I fear, ill-founded criticisms, and forgive me that I have, by this time, made your eyes and head ache with my long letter. But I cannot forgo hastily the pleasure and pride of thus conversing with you.

Strange. Censorship isn't really understandable.

From what I understood bitcoin classic might be less good than core. Ok with that.

but why censorship? It's really worrying I got to say. I don't like the idea at all!

The only reason they are censoring it, is because they are afraid it might not be worse.

If it really is worse, there's nothing to worry about, because people would ignore it.

People should be offered the choice. That's what decentralization is about.

This forum, as well as /r/bitcoin (who is moderated by the same persons) should have links to all viable and stable releases of bitcoin clients. Not only Core. So that people can make their own choice.

Quote

The issue is not free speech, the issue is centralization.

If one user (Theymos) decides on which client gets the spotlight (and therefore, is 99% more likely to out-compete the competition, simply because a large majority of the users is not even aware there is competition in the first place).

And while we could make our own forum, you know that's not a solution. You could make a better facebook, but even though it would be better, it won't gain any users because facebook has over a billion users and your new network will have 0. A social network is nothing if it doesn't have users.

The centralization of this forum is making bitcoin look bad.

You're literally the only person that I've ever heard say this for bitcointalk. I do recall some debate regarding listing of clients on bitcoin.org, but that is it.

Just another bullshit troll by Coinbuddy Roll Eyes
Now that he has been recognized as an alt of a troll he is siding with the other forum where nobody has yet detected him and his behavior.

Good luck with these nonsensical rumors.

I was waiting for this kind of shitty comment from another bullshit member of this forum.
Can everybody feel the love here, just like one big family  Kiss

Quote from: Andreas Antonopoulos
"One of the things that came out of this, which I've found very disappointing. Is that one of the moderators of Reddit, who also is the moderator of [bitcointalk org] and the Wiki. Has taken a stance where he has excluded or censored all conversation about XT.

I think that's really an example how unhealthy the governance structure has become and to me the Reddit platform as result has really deteriorated badly. It's not a healthy place to have a debate. Between the moderators not doing anything about the trolling and doing a lot about censorship instead of focusing on the trolling...I'm out."

hmmm
