Did you already launch a coin MMXVI? Looks like the same approach.

Hi! Beyond the Void is our first project, we didn't launch any other coin.

Hi! We understand people concerns about the escrow question. But instead of answering here, we will soon release a blog/bitcointalk post and explain the how and why so everyone can see our answer. Best regards

Any chance of letting a trusted member have a go at the playable version via screen sharing like team viewer and maybe record the session? Just so we can get confirmation of some kind of working pototype and this is not just great use of screen shots.

i know they can be faked but they have video in the op.

Tbh I'm not saying it is fake. If they were they would be the best fakes I've seen in a while... but who says it isn't some footage of an old game project which never got released. I dunno. I just like to cover all my bases before handing cash over. If they have a playable version, even if it's not user friendly shouldn't be much trouble to let just 1 person from bitcointalk have a go...

We totally understand your concern, but who would you suggest ? We would need someone that already has a good understanding of strategy games, and is trusted by the community. Furthermore, this takes time to organize.

Just the fact that you are whiling to attempt the suggestion is a good sign. Just shows you are not trying to hide anything.

I don't think I would be good for the job but maybe a more appropriate person will step forward and volunteer. The fact you are open to trying this puts my mind at rest that you do have a (partially) working game.

We have the newbie status on Bitcointalk because we created a separated profile for Beyond the Void. Eric has more than 30 years of experience in programming, Maxence has been a game developer and a concept artist for over six years now... Rémi is maybe the less experienced in the team, but he has already proven that he could pull it off when he coded the presale smart contract last June. Furthermore, he also takes care of the game design, and this isn't his first job in this area either.

ahah yes there was programming 30 years ago. We are currently working on the video bios of the founders, and everyone will be able to hear Eric talk about how he was programing bouncing balls on a TRS-80 when he was 17...

But on a serious note, you're right, we'll need to go live before the crowdfunding starts. Why not on Twitch ? This way, we can show the game alpha to everybody at the same time.

@Beyond the Void  IMHO if you want to succeed with your ICO you must change the blockchain. Instead of ETH I think is much better to use Counterparty. Even if you are a supporter of ETH, for the moment I consider  Counterparty and BTC blockchain a better option, and I'll offer you a few reasons for this sentence:

1. ETH blockchain is under attack right now, and it's shows a lot of vulnerabilities last time. We'll see a new hard-fork (maybe others) and your project will be affected by their technical issues;

2. Last ICO's on ETH blockchain were dumped hard, so investors lost enough money (SNGLS, REP, etc.);

3. Counterparty already support "Spells of genesis" (your partner in this project), a successful project until now, so you can learn a lot from their experience;

4. With Counterparty you can use Indiesquare wallet and Book of Orbs, also tokenly, for safe sales of your assets or to exchange them;

5. With Counterparty you already have a lot of people which experienced this kind of project with Spells of genesis, so they can understand easy and can invest in your game also;

6. In Counterparty (Book of orbs) you already have a market for "in games digital assets" for Spells of genesis and Force of will, so players can exchange or sell your assets more easy, or you can make partnership with other games to use some legendary assets in more games;

 Another objection is regarding your partner ranks. I think is not a correct correlation between investment and bonuses ; ex. Moon Administrator 100.000 investment/ 8% extra bonus and Galactic Emperor 17x (1.700.000 investment) and only 2x (16%) extra bonus. The rapport 1:17 is too much in partner ranks, a normal rapport for 5 ranks could be 1:5 - you can start with 200.000/400/600/800/1.000.000.

Good luck!

Thank you very much for your analysis.

1. ETH blockchain is under attack right now, and it's shows a lot of vulnerabilities last time. We'll see a new hard-fork (maybe others) and your project will be affected by their technical issues;

Hopefully the fork will solve this issue.

2. Last ICO's on ETH blockchain were dumped hard, so investors lost enough money (SNGLS, REP, etc.);

The token value is not in correlation with the techo used, but is inherent to the projects themselves.

3. Counterparty already support "Spells of genesis" (your partner in this project), a successful project until now, so you can learn a lot from their experience;With Counterparty you already have a lot of people which experienced this kind of project with Spells of genesis, so they can understand easy and can invest in your game also;

We learned a lot from their experience. But our choices are ours.

4. With Counterparty you can use Indiesquare wallet and Book of Orbs, also tokenly, for safe sales of your assets or to exchange them;

Yes, the tools around Ethereum aren't mature yet. But our game neither.
We think that when we will be ready, they will be too.

5. In Counterparty (Book of orbs) you already have a market for "in games digital assets" for Spells of genesis and Force of will, so players can exchange or sell your assets more easy, or you can make partnership with other games to use some legendary assets in more games;

We are forging our experience on Ethereum but we are not opposed to Counterparty, especially if they include a VM, like they said they will do.
The game itself is not tied to Ethereum technology.

Actually, the 15 second block confirmation is very interesting for our decentralized store.

Correct balance between ranks is not an easy task.
Galactic Emperor has one major bonus : he is the first who can trade newly created assets

Thank you for your support, the luck is welcome but the work will do the rest.

We offer a 100 000 Nxc development bounty

We offer a 100 000 Nxc development bounty: if someone sees a bug or a security breach in the crowdfunding smart contract, he notifies us. We should be able to reproduce the bug.

If he is right, we give the bounty price.

Crowdfunding smart contract is now on our website: http://beyond-the-void.net/index.php/smart-contract/

The problem is they all have 30 years of experience in programming... in fact 30 years ago there was even no programming Cheesy

Maybe a webex call with video Wink With some ID prove? and then we are talking business Wink

30 years ago there was loads of programming going on. Not sure where you got your info but there was already IBM's in the 70's. I owned a trs-80 & Commodore 64 in 1984 and was programming then. :p Of course we rocked 560 Baud modems oc'd to 700 baud. (560 Baud = 0.56 Kbs). But anyways ya there was lots of programming going on 30 years ago Smiley
