i do not think ad sense will allow bitcoin faucet sites at the moment,since all the major faucets were banned a few months back and because of that many faucets died and some faucets reduced their payouts. I think only bitcoin faucets are affected

Adsense doesn't support faucets in website obviously that would be the condition for app too.

But you can login an admob account if you have an adsense account and use the third party ad networks approved by admob

I would say the best paying ads would be "rewarded video" and "interstitial". Since most of the apps use this type of ads, even i have seen some faucet apps with such type of ads sustaining for more than 6 months, so plan yourself according to the revenue generated from ads.

Use adsense mobile platform but don't use adsense ads which might get you banned from other mediation networks too.

I am not sure why do you think ad sense support faucet apps? Sooner or later that faucet will get ban.

Not all apps use AdMob. There's multiple mobile ad providers.
