Creating my first faucet and keep getting parse error syntax error unexpected

Trying to open my first faucet. I upload the faucet after changing values in the config.Php. upload using File zilla..enter my Web page in a new link...and this is what pops up... Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in/home/user name/public_html/index.php on line 33 .....I don't know very much about making my own faucets and Web pages and stuff... any help would be approached.  Thanks a lot!
