Okay I mine to bittrex.com  and the ETH wallet has been in maintenance for a long time.

So first any known reason why?
This happened before and lasted 30 hours.

Second is this the right spot to post the question?

The ETH Wallets are currently down near everywhere.

After all Geth nodes crashed some days ago due an out of memory bug,
the network is now under a massive DDoS attack.

Hard to say how long that will last.

Poloniex listed REP yesterday, which is also the ETH asset. They opened the deposit and withdrawals, so I believe it is not everywhere

Ethereum network is under DDos attack, this made Ethereum network unstable, therefore many exchanges have stopped the deposit and withdraw using Ethereum or any asset run on Ethereum network, c-cex posted on twitter that they delaied Ethereum withdrawal, and other exchange as well.

But ethereum is still actively traded on Poloniex, the exchange does not seem affected at all. I think the DDos attack pushed up the price of eth briefly.

Bittrex .com opened eth wallets for a day or two.
I traded my eth to btc and withdrew the btc.

I then mined another block and bittrex locked wallet again.

So I have about 8.8 eth coins on hold again.

I now am about to earn another block which will bring me over 13 coins.

I am watching carefully.

I was burned about 200 U.S. Dollars from Bitfinex when they were hacked.  Got back around 90 of the 200.

So at this point in time I am wary of exchanges.  I did not want to run a private eth wallet but I may do so.

I have had more then one issue making my eth coins liquid.

Coinbase got wierd with a dozen eth coins a while a go.
