I wanted to pose a question, since I know there are many programmers and developers who frequent these boards.
The other day I was on an exchange that I do not normally use, when I began observing a coin that was pretty obviously in the middle of a pump.
(Just before the dump)
During this time, I noticed what I believe to be some very suspicious buy and sell orders.

This got me to thinking.
Would a very sophisticated attacker be able to influence the price of a coin through technical manipulation alone?
Obviously anyone with enough bitcoin/ altcoin can tip the scales.
But would someone be able to do this using technical means only?

How good to you think the programmers/ developers on a large exchange are? How good are their formulas/ algorithms for determining a coins price?
What about a smaller exchange?
How much effort would such a task require and how much profit do you think could be made?
Do you believe there are people doing this  currently?
(I would suspect they are but maybe I'm imagining things and it's totally impossible.)

There are group of people this actually on fact just register to one pump team they are not yet launch they are still inviting new groups, but if you are trading to much ,you'll observe that there really are manipulation in the market, you have to be observant and careful following the trend, but there are profits to be made if you know when to enter and to exit.
