MTGox to Support Litecoin - Can Anyone Confirm?

Hope this isn't a April 1st deal!

Read that MTGox are about to add Litecoin to their exchange - its half the reason that Litecoin is going through the roof today.

Can anyone confirm if this is true?

With MTGox support, Litecoin could go from $1 to over $20 practically overnight!

It's a completely different market, they could use a different server.

Someone has clearly added these tickers at MtGox, if an incorrect pair is used you get an error :

For example this URL : https://data.mtgox.com/api/2/LTCBTC/money/ticker

Returns this :

Why would mt.gox not want to cash in on a new emerging market which does not even need much new R&D to implement into there already existing system?

I also makes sense as alot of people will but cheaper coins for the 'doubling up factor'.

Litecoin can double in value three times and still be lower than $10 each, the same can't be said for Bitcoin.
