Anyone know how to maximise mining on an ESX server with several windows vmware machines running???

Preferably mining will only take place at night.

cpu mining is impossible

Mine @ pools that pay Tx fees & don't mine empty blocks :: kanopool :: ckpool ::
Should bitmain create LPM for all models?

Trying to mine *BITCOIN* on a CPU is a waste of time, electric, heat, and wear and tear on any CPU.
You'll be lucky to make *pennies a year* while you pay *dollars a week* to run the things.

Altcoins are in a few cases different, go check out the altcoin mining threads.

Bitcoin mining is not possible with these ,better try monero or Eth , since you have not mentioned the spec i cannot make any calculations, better check their ROI before doing anything,it is all about how much hash you will get.

Forget ETH with a CPU. GPUs dominate.

XMR perhaps.

there are many cpu coins outh there... hdol .. europa coin ... zcoin....  anyway the bottle neck is not given by the number of vps u have but by the number core of your cpu.... doesnt matter if you have 100s vps with 1 core ... if they run on 1 or 2 servers sharing the hardware the total hash rate wont be higher than haveing 2 normal computers with the same number of cores...

Zcoin is most profitable CPU coin this days. I get ~4-5$ from 1 CPU (6x core) a few days ago. But now profit dropped significantly.

I second this. Zcoin was profitable on CPUs a few days ago but now many people connected botnets to the pools and now you can barely get anything.

If you have a large amount of hard drive storage space you could mine one of the Proof of Capacity coins like Burst.
Otherwise you will still need some sort of GPU.
You can mine a small amount of altcoin on CPU but I'm not sure how that is going to affect your VM operations, and it may not be worth it to stress the processors of your server for a couple pennies a day.
