I don't think it would be like the Cold War entirely, but I think the Bitcoin War would hold development value and be used as a competition.

All throughout Bitcoin's history countries have been racing to bring in something new... China has mining factories, Romania / Switzerland built the initial Bitcoin Teller Machines and included them inside malls + shopping centers. Overall there are countries innovating even more so just wait until BTC becomes bigger with the next wave of media exposure. Although we hit the first one, there is more yet to come.

Lol like the cold war. No it won't be like that but hacked wars go on all the time. Big companies taking one another down and hiring hackers to do it or extremist groups or even freedom fighters .

bitcoin war? its strange, why people want to do bitcoin war? i think bitcoin is fine and do the best job to help many people.

beside that, there is no related between cold war and bitcoin war. if the hacker do attack with government website, i think its not because about bitcoin, its because that hacker wants to show they capability to make penetrate into that site. in other place, there is more attackers like this and i have seen a lot.

I think it's not war but revenge technologically. Well first of Pakistan attacks India so in return they took money which will affect pakistani economically. And India will take those money and use for good of the nation like for poor people and for education. So I don't think that it's a war is just a revenge technologically.

Bitcoin war? Maybe. If it exists it will be vs credit cards though
and not countries in my opinion.

Unfortunately this is not the first attempt to use Bitcoin as  "weapon" or mean for conflict. Hackers are doing this all the time. But it's bad for the reputation. Sometimes people don't think but just using all they have for often very selfish purposes but under mask of the higher goal.

There is no Bitcoin war. When nations hack each other and Bitcoin is being used in some way in that conflict, IT IS NOT Bitoin's war!
Or is the war against drugs also a war against the USD??!!

And in terms of the cold war, although this is a topic which does not belong here.
Right now it looks like we are falling back into old times!

well actually bitcoin got nothing to do with the hacking, but why in this case it seems like bitcoin is the criminal coin, whenever a hacker hacked some computer they will used bitcoin as the transaction, it is not good for bitcoin reputation
when the people asked for fiat they wont accused it the criminal currency, but when they asked for bitcoin, bitcoin is the criminal currency
It is not Bitcoin's fault if some criminal uses it in its crime. If someone robs you off at gun point, you dont ban the manufacturing of guns.Hacking is a long known history while bitcoin was introduced in 2009.It is not that there is a surge in hacking after the invention of bitcoin

Personally I think we might see a few countries try to ban bitcoin but I don't think there will be any real threat to bitcoin as a whole. I think any country that tries this will receive harsh opposition.

"'Patriotic' Indian hackers
lock Pakistani websites and
refuse to give back the key"
www.dailymail.co.uk/indiahome/indianews/article-3825751/Patriotic-Indian-hackers-lock-Pakistani-websites-refuse-key.html
It seems that now conflicting nations have found a new tool to show down each other

It actually has nothing to do with bitcoins but maybe they thought of paying with bitcoins because it is more convenient and an anonymous way of payment, but we should not bring bitcoin into that war at all.

So do you think government can't take back those money if those 120 bitcoin was donated to charity?

Government tech security is a joke btw.

120 BTC is really a big price these days and i don't think that they will return this amount back.
however for a nation like Pakistan it's even more for charity.

Yes, it is not going to become a bitcoin war because none of those two countries is the owner of bitcoin. Bitcoin is a decentralized commodity, hence using it to achieve their goal is not the right tool because bitcoin belongs to everyone. They should find something else to do that not with bitcoins.
