blockchain.info
Safe. Great wallet. I use it all the time now as the "Satoshi" client is so darn slow.

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security. Read all about it here: http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/ Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

I have used flexcoin.com since 2011 and never had any issues with them; you also gain some "profit" a small % per year just like a savings account ( they share out the transaction fees proceeds)

The ONLY web based wallet I would recommend is https://blockchain.info/walletAs far as I know that is the only web hosted wallet that allows you to maintain control of your private keys. If I am mistaken on that fact, I'd appreciate knowing what other web hosted wallets provide you with sole control of your private keys.

Wot no UK? Why are we always 20 -30 yrs behind US?? It was possible via bank transfer or Barclay's Pingit but stopped last week indefinitely, yet to find out why.

What is the advantage of a lightweight client (such as Electrum or MultiBit) over a web hosted wallet?

I have all my coins in both wallets (private keys are encrypted in both places) just in case one or the other goes down for whatever reason. That is the only disadvantage to these web based wallets - temporary outages. I still recommend, if you want just one wallet and you want to be able to access it from anywhere from any device, BlockChain.info is very hard to beat.

Caveat here: Put a small % of your BTC in online hot wallet. The rest 90% goes into a cold offline wallet.

Any guess what this was about then? Flexcoin announced a security breach today,
