I sent a few bucks and put in a dispute.

Well, it's not that I thought it was unlikely this would happen, but I thought I'd go through the process anyway.

By the way, destro47 = richardfrancis, so he's sold bitcoins to himself apparently.

...Huh?

This is one reason why you should never put your PayPal address on this forum, I guess...

Well, I'm sure he scammed a few people, because he told them to send as 'gift' which can't be reversed.

I ignored that part of the request and sent him some paypal bucks as a 'purchase of goods', so now I can have the transaction reversed.

The whole thing is a set up, and this guy has 3 or 4 forum accounts all talking to himself.

In case it's not clear, the thread starter is a scammer, and no bitcoins have been sent to anyone.

Good think I seen this now as I was thinking I might buy one for starters..Just in case it doubles overnight.

Hopefully this is not the way the whole forum is  Undecided

I would recommend that you deal with a reputable exchanger or someone with a good reputation on bitcoin-otc.

In general, I'd say the forum is anti-PayPal.
