Has anyone noticed the namecoin price creeping up too?

Any idea what may be causing this?

MTGOX where rumoured to be considering supporting these at one point too...

Tbh I think every cryptocurrency is gaining off of the recent surge in BTC's value. I also think the surge in BTC's value is non-permanent and it will decrease again in the near future and stabilize. Just my 0.02

of course it will stabilize.the point is when and at what price.People where saying that the Dot.com bubble was a bubble since 1995 but it bursted 4 years later. And dont get me wrong i am not saying that BTC price is a bubble.Forex market trades over 5trillion Usd daily  and BTC just went over 1billion.Do the math

It is possible also that somebody is investing in namecoins.
After buying cheap namecoins he could finance some development then the prices would rise and he can cash out.
I would do it if I would have money for that.

Namecoin did indeed rise in price due to speculation over Mt Gox beginning trading in it for USD shortly.
