I think that answer is very simple.
Purpose of life is to be happy.
More difficult question is how to achieve it.

We need also God in our lives.

But since religions preach differently from one another, it's stupid to blindly follow one and deny the rest, but that's where faith comes in.

Actually, faith is the thing that everyone lives by (or dies in). Why? Because nobody knows the future. We think we know some of the future simply because God made life to be reasonably stable in most ways. But there have always been people who died in accidents that they never expected would hit them, or they would have lived their life in a different way to avoid the accident. Consider the person who dies in a terrorist bombing without even realizing that he is dead.

The faith of everyone is automatically placed in God, even though he may not realize it. There are no atheists... way down deep inside each person.

Your and everyone elses "purpose" on this planet is to reproduce and keep the human species alive, you decide what you want your own  purpose and goal to be.

It was the command of God that caused people to reproduce. God is looking for people who believe in Him. And He is getting what He wants... even though he has to go through a bunch of unbelievers to get some believers. He doesn't want unbelievers to be unbelievers and die for it. But He offers freedom, so that it is the unbeliever's choice.

Let's imagine that in all TV stations are giving the biggest press release ever seen. All means of information are releasing a statement sent by the aliens and in that statement the aliens reveal that they (aliens) were the creators of this planet and that they (aliens) created us to take care of the planet and everything that is on the planet. At that moment the purpose of all people's lives would be revealed.

I think that the purpose of each person's life is to protect what they love.

To Roman Catholic Christians our purpose in life is to enjoy the love of God and be with Him at the next life, enjoy the love of God in pain, suffering  in the most unconventional way and enjoy his kingdom at the end of time. For the Buddhists the purpose of life is to find enlightenment and that is to live in our daily lives the doctrines from the universal truth. So how does it make sense, it simply means enjoy your life by following the moral codes. Our mission in life is to overcome the temptations, the wordly desires and that is our battle. In the end just live your life and finally in the perfect time it will just come to you and you dont need to find it.

Good things and bad things happen to all people. They don't have to be ungodly for bad things to happen at times.

God wants good for all people. The will of the devil, and the will of evil people, get in the way of granting all the good He wants to give in this life.

I don't know who is following God's Biblical commands. I was saying it to follow up on what was said prior to it. Not because I really know who is doing it.

I know the eternal life thing by faith. The Holy spirit strengthens my faith in it.

      Everyone in his life put a goal and tries to conquer him. Starting then to win the goal is like starting a journey. In that way, this man gains experience and a lot of knowledge, which ultimately prove more significant and important than the goal itself. What ultimately matters is the journey itself that is the road,  not the end of it.

Time regardless how long it is that you are spending it on the earth, how much money you have earned in your entire life and how much attention we have received. What always matters is that it is the amount of positive vibration you have radiated in our life or on others lives. Life is filled with unanswered questions, but it is the courage to seek those answers that continues to give meaning to life. You can spend your life wallowing in despair, wondering why you were the one who was led towards the road strewn with pain, or you can be grateful that you are strong enough to survive it.

When God created everything, he gave the earth to people. God gave one little command to people that they were not to eat the fruit of one tree. That's all. People ate the fruit, thereby choosing destruction rather than all the great things God had planned for them.

If people had chosen to obey God, there would be no death in the world, people would have multiplied faster than rabbits, the earth would have become over-populated long ago, people would have developed star drives long ago, and populated the endless numbers of worlds that exist out there, and would be growing in that populating process, explosively.

As it is, we messed things up by choosing destruction, and now God has decided to make a new universe for those who accept Him and don't want the destruction any more.

We are stuck here, and in the curse of dying after living only a short life, rather than getting to experience the wonders that God created in that endless outer space.

Time to accept God so that we can populate the new universe He is making for us when the time comes for Him to take His people there.
