To be fair its not like you can randomly expect me to trust bitcoin instantly even if I do know a bit about computers, simply because its so complex. I don't find fault with the guy's IT department. However, to then indicate that they are some sort of an uber-good source that proves that BTC is broken or something is retarded.

No I meant in general. Of course, I, now, believe BTC. However I didn't the moment I came to know of it, and if my boss had come up to me and said "hey here is this thing called bitcoin, tomorrow tell me what you think of it" I probably would have responded with something along the lines of "I'm not really sure about it, it looks complicated."

And that's the neat thing, it doesn't require trust.  The whole point of it is that it's a zero-trust system.  Science and math work, without regard to your level of trust.

I agree completely. I'm just saying that you can't expect people to understand that (what even a decentralized currency IS) instantly.

The funny thing is bitcoin is tried and true its been working for quite some time now. Great find I'm glad to see this catching the medias attention.

I have some respect for Pento, but wow.  Does he take investing advice from his IT team?  The probably read a couple of entries on the wiki and thought they understood the whole BTC world.
