Following are some of the problems i usually encounter while making BBCode signatures :

In Post input box on forum:



In Preview output of forum :



Preview with design within code :




I want to ask why is the spacing different in the above different cases ?

BTW, if the size is reduced to 2px, then the design looks perfect. : but again gets distorted at 3px.

Because with a proportional font, different characters have different widths (and not even consistently different, as you've seen). You need a monospaced font, which in BBCode is achieved with the [tt] tag.
