Hi,
I just read this article. http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2011/jun/12/google-personalisation-internet-data-filtering

Could some sort of system be generated that would feed these sites tons of useless user information and what would the implications of such a system be?

That would be possible using same principle as DDoS attack. Basically lots of IP borrowed by lots of machines (most likely unwillingly).

Randomly generated content could me most likely detected by some kind of algotithm and ignored or treated as low value.

Another difficulty of this solution is generation of (google, hotmail) email accs, facebook accs ... etc. There is the CAPTCHA standing in the way.

I personally think, such a attack would have minumum impact.
