Hello All,
I'd like to share my Chrome extension with you:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/bkjcngcenokaadmhbmcokmkanjibmmje?hl=en

It displays current market price information, directly in your browser.
Prices are currently from MTGox and BritCoin. They update once a minute, and also, whenever you click on the extension icon.

Comments and suggestions for improvements welcome.

Enjoy!

Thanks guys.

@flug There is one on the extension's page, but I've added one to my signature too. Any donations would be appreciated.

Looks good. I'm running it side by side with Mt. Gox Peek to see who keeps up the best Smiley

This is cool. What's the refresh rate? Could you put in a hyperlink to the exchanges when someone clicks on the extension icon for faster access?

Comments and suggestions for improvements welcome.

Nice work. The only suggestion I have is to indicate somehow whether the price is higher or lower than the previous close.

Refresh rate is currently every 60 seconds (it also refreshes every time you click the icon). I might make this configurable in the next update.
Links to the exchanges is a nice idea too.

As for the higher/lower idea, do you think a small graph in the pop-up window might give a clearer sense of the current market trend?
Maybe change the icon's colour based on the difference between the current rate and the average over the last 24hours or so?

Not a big deal, but my preferred display would be "last" price.

Also, the price doesn't quite fit on mine. I can screenshot if you want, but mine is displaying:
19.9'
I think that last part is the cut-off part of a 7.

Just had a bit of time to update the extension. The update is live in the Chrome Web Store now, if you're already using it, you should get the upgrade soon.

What's new in Version 0.3:

  • Added new traders (now: MTGox, TradeHill, Bitomat and BritCoin)
  • Clickable links to the traders (directly from the popup)
  • A few under-the-hood improvements

@jibjabz The amount of text on the badge is limited by Chrome I'm afraid, so can't do much about that (other than making it scroll, but I don't think that's a good idea :-)

If you're using this, please consider a donation. Chome Web Store currently reports 131 users, but I've only received 0.01BTC (thanks, whoever you are).

I'm currently working on some more features, I'll update this thread when they're ready.

Keep up the comments/requests/suggestions.

Enjoy!

I'd have to browse through the source code in my extensions folder to make sure it doesn't have trojans, but seems cool.

@imperi : Very wise of you. Feel free to browse. I've done my best to keep the code readable.
