Edit:

As of Sunday April 30th, 2017 at 1215PM Hawaiian Standard Time this giveaway is now officially closed. Any email requests that were made after this time/post will not be honored nor sent.

Any remaining brass coins out of the 1000 will be given away at the upcoming Consensus 2017 conference in person. If you are interested in meeting up with me just email me at smoothie@lealana.com and I can organize a meet up within the confines of the conference.

Introducing the Monero brass coin giveaway. It is a DIY XMR brass coin with TWO holograms marked LASER MARKED “UNFUNDED MONERO GIVEAWAY” or something similar.

This brass coin giveaway has a simple purpose, to get people talking, spreading, and sharing monero with others. It could be used as a conversation piece or just as a tool to assist in educating others on how the technology backing monero is powerful/useful.

Requirements for eligibility

Anyone can request ONE free single brass XMR coin. Send me an email to SMOOTHIE@LEALANA.COM.

One coin per shipping address and per person. Please do not attempt to get me to send multiple coins to a single person who has access to multiple addresses. I will not ship more than one coin to a specific address for these giveaway coins.

I reserve the right to not ship giveaway coins to any user for any reason.

Given that this is a giveaway I will not make a point to hear out any complaints of coins not received as this giveaway is simply that, a giveaway at 0 cost to the receiver. Any number of things can happen during transit and I would prefer to just ship out the coins and not have to worry about who got what coin and who didn’t.

Coins to be shipped via USPS first class mail.

Shipping information in this EXACT to be submitted as follows to my email (smoothie@lealana.com):

FIRST & LAST NAME
STREET ADDRESS
CITY, STATE, ZIP CODE
COUNTRY

How many giveaway coins?

1000

When will they be shipped?

Honestly, when I have time to get them out. It could range from 7 days to 30 days or more . It all depends on how busy I am and how many requests for these coins I get.

In my eyes, this giveaway failed before it even began. Good luck to the others willing to DOX themselves for 1 coin.

How does the giveaway fail? It is simply that...a giveaway...

If someone does end up getting multiple coins they would have to fool me into thinking they had only one address but using multiple emails and multiple physical addresses. And even then what will one person make off with? Maybe 2-3 coins?

The person requesting the coin does not have to send me their real name, how would I know it is their real name and thus doxxing themselves in the process?

I'm not into data mining people's info if that is what you are getting at.

It's relatively *simple*, just keep a public list of orders before shipping anything out. Obviously you wouldn't ship for "Lauda" to "Satoshi" if Lauda did not ask/confirm this. This would work for *confirmed* members, but alt accounts could stir trouble with PO boxes and whatnot.

I'm not into data mining people's info if that is what you are getting at.
Rule 1: Never trust anyone.

Good luck with this anyhow, at least it's free.

If people have multiple PO boxes then great they must have enough money and time to try to fool me into thinking they are not the same person.

Secondly I am already ahead of you....SEE BELOW:

Why should I trust you? You shouldn't. And with that, anyone who does not trust me please do not purchase my coins.

Same ^ goes for my giveaway coins. Don't accept free coins, if you don't trust me.  Cheesy

I don't think that many people are going to do that, but yes, I guess some people will get more then one coin.

The only solution is to ask for bitcointalk.org account that registered at least 3 months ago and has at least xxx posts or something like that.

Anyway, I dont think that a lot of people are going to ask for more then one coin, so even if he ends up giving 5-10 coins in total to people who already received a coin, its not a big problem.

I contemplated that, but I thought that it would be simple enough to decipher whether someone was trying to game the system by them using similar address locations (city, state etc). But I wanted to open it up to newbies as well.

It's a giveaway so if some get more than one coin it is as you said, not that big of a deal.

Very smart to do so, to keep it up fair.
I hope i will fit the requirements if rules would be changed.

Please do not attempt to get me to send multiple coins to a single person who has access to multiple addresses. I will not ship more than one coin to a specific address for these giveaway coins.
In my eyes, this giveaway failed before it even began. Good luck to the others willing to DOX themselves for 1 coin.

I think it is a good marketing move.  Imagine getting a thousand interested coin collectors' emails..with the potential for future sales...who just got a free coin.

As for doxxing, isn't that a little over-rated?  As long as one isn't doing anything illegal, does it matter if someone has any contact info?  I gotta be on so many marketing lists myself.

(BTW my first name really is Tom  Cool )

Sending email now, Smoothie.  Thanks! Smiley
