This belongs in the META forum, but I can't post there as a newbie:

When trying to register using my regular internet connection (through vo.lu), I received an error message regarding Tor (which I've never used). Ironically, the registration went through just fine when I switched to a US-based IP address (through a VPN). Most people don't have this option, so they might never make it on this board to complain.

Tor exit node IP addresses are easily retrievable from the network.

If your IP address is on the list because you or your dynamic IP address has been an exit node, this is likely why you were identified as such, even if you weren't using it to connect.

I'm just a newbie but it's possible the IP was a tor exit node in the past and their database just hasn't been updated.
