How did LTC, PPC, and TRC nearly double in price over night?

LTC is now worth more than NVC, PPC was worth .00024 when I went to bed last night and is now .0005. O_o Even TRC is showing massive gains on dustcoin... Is something strange going on?

People are starting to see the money in it. And I think the psychological fact of $100 BTC also helps: Having 2 BTC worth $200 sounds less fun than having 20 BTC worth $200.

LTC has /g/ (4chan's technology board) to thank. Bitcoins are a hot topic there and everyone is going on about "DON'T MISS THE NEXT BOAT! START MINING LITECOIN!" and the fact they have a drug marketplace now.

Namecoins also are now trading at .008 BTC, or ~$0.80, which is a 100% price spike above the previous months, and certainly higher in government currency than they have ever been. Alternate currencies may be seen by some investors as having more upward potential than already-recognized Bitcoin.
