Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

BitPay built it and they are using it as well.

LocalBitcoins.com is also using it. Here is their instance - https://www.localbitcoinschain.com

theymos, the admin of this forum, built the first block explorer on https://blockexplorer.com. That is now running an Insight instance as well.
