Any thoughts?

I personally will not as I don't buy myself into something that gets hyped up to a level where there is no real benefit for me. It's basically a gamble in my opinion.

kim dotcom is a convicted fraudster. he also has every single law enforcement agency eyeballing his every move plus he might be off to America and never come back very soon.
I don't find any of that a very sexy investment prospect. even if it does get up and running, i'd want to see some evidence of major decentralization or it's gonna be shut down asap.

I'm gonna pass this one, minimum investment is 1000 euros, too much for me, but if it was lower I'd put some money in it.
Megaupload was once the 13th most visited site on the web and responsible for 4% of all Internet traffic at its peak.

yeah i might have put a little in but the minimum investment is pretty high for me and i think it is even classed as high risk, i would rather put a few thousand in to bitcoin and see what happens in 2 years at least i will have control of my own money still.

It is indeed very high risk, as with all startup investments. There is a lot that can happen to screw this up, as mentioned by you guys!
Personally I'm considering backing the project, mostly because I want to support growth in the btc world, and also to support Kim, because IMO the US pulled some shady strings to raid and shutdown this guy in the first place. They haven't touched any of the other filesharing sites..
Regarding Kim going to jail, that would be bad, but again, he's basically the evangelist, so the project would most likely go on without him.

I would like to support the project, but i dont like to invest into something i dont see soo its kind a sure to say that i may regret later havent invested into the projects, but i do believe there are too many eyes looking Kim at the moment, it sould be good for crypto world a big project like he is trying to make.

I've read quite a bit about Kim Dotcom and also followed him for a bit. In all honesty he seems like a cool guy. although there tends to be more sensation to what he offers than comes in due to what law enforcement does to try and remove his genius investment.
I use a few of his services and although they work good he seems to sell off for new ventures. I hope all goes well with this and allows him to continue development regardless of his past.

It's basically a gamble in my opinion. well, history has proven that hype works best in crypto currency world. just look at the altcoin prices especially coins like ethereum which are full hype. it seems like people are only interested in short term investing in these hyped up things and make quick profits.

The minimum is 1000$, for 0.001% equity. Wow, thats a pretty big valuation. In that case, would not go for it. Is it worth the 100 million valuation though according to you all ?

From what I see: MINIMUM INVESTMENT GOAL €908,926 RAISED SO FAR €678,895 I think that the minimum will be surely achieved. And if the minimum is 1000$.. it's too much. "Never invest more than you afford to lose" (although I feel that the chances to lose are not too big).

The rest I put in passive index funds, bitcoin and a high rent savings account. I'm trying to save/invest 3000$/month.

Megaupload 2.0 & Bitcache will probably have MU 1.0 User base + a lot more since he promised to to give old premium users their accounts back. (He still have the old database) , but here is the thing , chances that this project is going to be successful are high , In the other hand It could go down anytime as Kim dotcom still have some legal issues with the U.S authorities and Investors can't afford taking such a risk. Another reason for why he didn't achieve the minimum goal yet is that he only accepts Bitcoin as a payment method while most of investors prefer to pay using credit cards etc... I personally didn't invest since I invested in another project (ICONOMI tokens) but I guess MU2 is going to be successful and I hope everyone who invested will get richer.

The company is not dependent on Kim, and they got a legal team handling everyhing from the start, so thats promising! They actually accept bank transfers now, not only bitcoin! I want to see Kim succeed, he deserves it after all the BS he's been through IMO ^^ And if I earn some money in the process, thats a bonus
