Fan details for S7

Has anyone got a picture or the details for a fan on the S7?

I'm after the Amps if possible. Any and all info welcome go single and dual fan models.

There is not much info available about the S7 120mm 4300rpm fan.

This one is almost like the S7 120mm 4300rpm fan.

Fan speed: 4600rpm max.

So I would guesstimate 2.7-3.0A for the S7 120mm 4300rpm fan.

Thanks for the reply HagssFIN. Just what I was after. Just thinking of changing fans on my S7LN and wondered how much power a change would save.

2.7-3.0A is for 100% speed fan though.
Fan's with S7LN (sidehack modded) are spinning
with so low speed that they don't probably eat much power.

And if you would compare the current with the S7 fan at for example 2500rpm
versus some other brand 2500rpm fan you would get quite the same numbers.

So I would not see I big need for changing fans.

As I replied I did think to myself that the power would be rated at 100% speed so probably not much difference. But that being said if the LN fans are the same fans as the regular S7 they should still draw more than a fan that's doing 2400rpm (100%) and drawing 0.3a.

The LN fans at 100% are 4300rpm (I assume) and draw approximately 3a. So at 50% it's 2150 and 1.5a. So I'd be saving myself approximately 14watts which works out (at my electricity cost) approx £1.31 per month.

the blades are strong and heavy on the stock fan.

can you get the one above in  the UK?

the blades are lighter and it uses a lot less power.


downside is  blades break easier.

Yes, the lighter blades could result in less power hungry fan and maybe in long-term you could save some money in your situation.
Depends how long you are going to mine with the S7LN.
12 months of 1.31GBP/month equals 15.72GBP, so in case of "12 months mining left" your fans should be cheaper than 15.72GBP
24 months it's double.

Thing is the LN is quieter and has bigger heatsinks. I struggle to keep it at a decent temperature even with fans on minimum setting so fans that are cheaper to run even at a slightly higher rpm would save money and still be effective.

Also I can sell them if I get rid of the LN so cost is negligible really. Aslong as they are quiet and perform how I need them too it's all good.

If 74CFM and 1350rpm max. would be enough, then this would be a cheap one.

It costs only 5.50EUR here in Finland.

I have experience with the 140mm version (Arctic F14 PWM).
I used two of them as intake fan replacement for Antminer S2 and they did their job great.

Well just thought id update this.

Bought two Corsair ML120 (White LED ones as I thought they looked nice). 12v 0.3a and what do you know, its pulling the same wattage at the wall as it did before so total waste of time  

They are running at the same rpm as the old ones and resulting in roughly the same temperature on the gui.

Now the red light is flashing and cant remember if it should be flashing green when mining. It still works and registers on the pool so ill leave it for a day and see what happens to the wattage level as its only been running for 25mins.
