Will work/design for Bitcoins?

I'm curious to other's opinions on this matter.

I'm an American, and a recent graduate of a private university on the west coast. I've got experience in all sorts of fields of design, and I love working with things like model making, 3D modeling, graphic design, fashion, architecture... etc, some very physical fields as well as digital ones.

Offering freelance work to those of us online, and plugged into the internet, would be a no brainer, right? Especially if we're talking about Bitcoin.

How should I go about finding work or connecting with this community at large? I want to feel useful, and offer my talents to others, and be compensated, but in my current Real World scenario, the realm of work is rather barren...
