I have a serious question , what if Theymos die......

What will happen to this forum.

I have read a lot from the history of this forum , especially the donate topic, I found out Theymos has paid a lot time and energe to this forum.

He is the master of this forum. but , uhmmm....of course he is healthy now,  what if he dies with accidence.

Will the hosting going on?

Will the forum being mixed or out of control?

It is a centralised forum, based on Theymos' healthy?

I don't think this is a problem. There are other forums around. If this one is not maintained or out-dated, people will move to others. Of course I hope all bitcoiners will remain healthy until we reach the moon- we have so few of us, especially the active ones...

If theymos dies in real life, I don't think the news would reach to us unless somebody in this forum knows about him personally. People would just assume that theymos ran away if so but this forum would remain as it is. There are other admins now. There's BadBear and the newly promoted admin, Cyrus. Every one in this forum will eventually die so it's only normal for the staffs to have somebody replace them just in case their death comes sooner than expected.

Nice catch! Looks like theymos hasn't been with us for a while now. My guess is that Dank has been running the forum since his demise.

Theymos is not actively spending his time here for a long time i guess,he is busy elsewhere ,bitcointalk might be safe even in the absence of Theymos ,bitcoin is fine even in the absence of SATOSHI ,so i am sure there will be back up regarding this too . long live THEYMOS

If whatever happens to theymos if he chose tokeep the forum alive he can always ask someone else to or maybe trust someone as a replacement just in case something like this happen. He is not the only one who is managing the forum so someone provably will take over.

Indeed, theymos is a great man as I heard. But also there's a group of people who manage this forum. If theymos dies, some other admin guy will take over. Maybe, already they got someone else in queue to manage forum.

IIRC Sirius was the one holding the domain right now, not theymos.
Sirius is also the one who's mainly responsible for the creation of this forum, together with Satoshi.

Forum funds were distributed by Theymos to what he felt like trusted members and there was a story that someone died a slow death and with him the funds disappeared and no one seems to notice that it seems a bit strange with more than 100 btc ,woot
