it's not there yet... close but not yet... the other exchanges are running slightly lower prices (IE: people are buying them cheaper at other places).

I popped the champagne at $100. Next bottles will be $1,000, $5,000, then again at $10,000.

I'd open champagne which costs exactly 1BTC at each of those levels. This way you can immediately taste the height of your success Although I dislike champagne, but $100 scotch is a good idea.

Now the game is: how many flash crashes on the way to $200? Oh well, the recovery seems to be quicker every time.

I don't understand how a person could stomach buying a single bottle of any drink for $2,000. It really just boggles my mind...

I must admit I never bought such an expensive scotch yet, but I also don't see any problem in that. Probably only stopped by the fact that my senses won't let me experience all the nuances and depth of difference between this and some "cheap" $100 bottle. But you even don't have to drink that - such pieces are often bought as a form of investment - long-term and barely liquid, pardon the pun, but still something that's guaranteed to not lose value over time.

I think if you had enough money that $2000 was indistiguishable from $20, you would do that sort of thing.

I think if you had enough money that $2000 was indistiguishable from $20, you would do that sort of thing. I've not actually done it yet. And I agree, the amount of 'awesome' you get from $1,999 bottle of scotch does not match the increase in price. A good $50-100 (the 12-15 year macallans) is about the best bang for your buck. I won't go higher, until 1BTC = $1,999. Then, I'll only get one.

Most don't understand how you can buy something that's virtual 0's and 1's on a file sitting on computers all over the world..

"We are just fools. We insanely believe that we can replace one politician with another and something will really change. The ONLY possible way to achieve change is to change the very system of how government functions. Until we are prepared to do that, suck it up for your future belongs to the madness and corruption of politicians." Martin Armstrong
