It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Netflix are known if the bitcoin can be a potential field for their business because the people are just needed for clicking their mouse for wanna using netflix. I guess bitcoin are be a potential farm field for the online companies in this time because offering an easiest way.

Why would the netflix executives wants bitcoin as a global currency since netfilx is a US based business model and you cannot subscribe to netflix without a US based VPN if you are not from the US,so i dont understand the logic behind it .

According to Netflix, it is available in every country except China, Crimea, North Korea and Syria.

I hope this will happen. Imagine the price of bitcoin, if bitcoin will use as global currency, the price will be skies the limit. That is why I'm investing more in bitcoin right now.

This will bring some publicity I guess, but that does not mean that such a move will generate more adoption in the population, probably what will happen is that us, the bitcoiners will pay for Netflix using bitcoin and that will be it.

Old news, still nothing new heard from them but would love to see some more actions from companies like NetFlix.

I hope this will happen. Imagine the price of bitcoin, if bitcoin will use as global currency, the price will be skies the limit. That is why I'm investing more in bitcoin right now.

Well IMO the price won't be much affected.

LOL, Bitcoin already is a global currency. If the Netflix executive wants more people and businesses around the world to use it, then he should put his money where his mouth is and start accepting it.

And saying that Bitcoin is cost effective is like saying water is wet. Duh.

Sure the huge security around bitcoin its something that will atract any big companie inside, the frauds of the credits cards and debit its huge market, sure removing those options and put bitcoin would be better to the company. I do hope they advance into the adoption of bitcoin, i do like Netflix.

Its interesting but to be honest I see some wild technology swings that may make netflix a sony walkman if things progress rapidly enough.
It may also just be some one that understands the main demographics of their user base and playing into that.

Any company coming forward to claim acceptance is a plus in my books but I tend to be a glass half full type.

Keep in mind that this is a CoinTelegraph article. I don't pay much attention to CoinTelegraph because most of what they produce is just speculation and embellishment.

Huh. I see. Was wondering if this was a new development or something.
Even thought this would finally lead to netflix actually accepting bitcoin as payment method.
Turns out it's just a rehash. lol. WTH.

*It's taking netflix quite a long time to actually implement accepting bitcoin. It's all 'wants', 'think', but doesn't actually backs it up.
I hope they really do it. sigh.

nope. you can watch it in most countries you wash up in. the same account will allow you to access the local version worldwide.

the main problem is that the American version has way, way more content than most other countries due to licensing. most people were hacking their dns to watch the American version from abroad. Netflix are now wise to that and are trying to stop it.

Seems like netflix soon gonna start accepting bitcoin which will be really nice news for all of us actually to the users from countries where paypal like payment processors are restricted as well as don't have any working international visa/mastercard debit cards. Streaming of netflix should be expanded to meet users from all around the world and allowing bitcoin can be one way for netflix to achieve this worldwide coverage.

Isn't this old news? and netflix haven't started accepting bitcoin yet.  Shocked
It is great but if Netflix is serious about that then first they should make a deal with bitcoin that you can also use bitcoin t pay your membership on Netflix. I am sure that Netflix wants this to happen so that more people around the world can make use of Netflix.
They can then pay with Bitcoin if the currency in there country is not accepted.

Shocked

Well yes they haven't, i am sure they still think about that. It took long time for steam to accept bitcoins so that's nothing strange that netflix takes some time to start accepting them
thinking from many aspects, factor, and how good it is for the business, indeed time is needed before netflix fully implement bitcoin officially, there's nothing wrong if a huge company thinking about their movement, and yeah it's also happening to the steam

Steam also took long time to accept bitcoin after the information got leaked to public.
I think regulation is the reason why companies need time to provide bitcoin as payment solution since some countries have specific rules for bitcoin usage.

the information you are talking about was not leak or anything like that. before steam telling the public they are accepting bitcoin they sent Email to their developers (literary anybody who has ever made anything for steam community shops) and told them we are going to accept bitcoin and one of those recipient of that email shared the email with public.
