I'm excepting another rally, maybe a small one, what are your guys' thoughts on this, it might cross the previous high today.

Come on, stop making threads just because someone buys up where there are no orders around.

Nobody knows what'll happen, but a rally now would obviously not be sane. It would mean people deciding to buy at >19 after standing idly when prices dropped to 16, and a day before, to 10.

The insane won't be able to set prices for long, that much is certain. And I don't think many people would want to sit on BTC if their value is based on such behavior -- so expect some pressure from above when this kind of thing happens.

Those who bought at 16, at least, have quite an incentive to dump it on the LOL RALLY pusher's heads the moment it stops. I don't think they're the only ones.

I bought at 16 and sold already, I'm not buying into the mass panic and actually profiting off of it.

Sanity was not the topic, the current rally is.

Nobody knows what'll happen...

True enough., nobody knows for certain Vandroiy.
Study the charts, if you want to give better feedback to OP's, learn from recent history. The current (daily) rally could very well still have 1 to 2 hours left + a much higher peak. Rallies by nature appear a bit "insane", due to the repeated tendency to "climax" in a very exciting manner.

"Greed and Fear" == Markets 101
This little daily rally may not have seen the climax of Greed yet, stay tuned and watch for $25 to $29!*   Cheesy

*Currently The market is resting a bit.
If you (anyone) enjoyed this post, or learned anything, please send a tip, thank you.

I'm actually hoping for a downturn now, bitcoinwatch seems to say that shortterm the price will drop due to the price going below the 50h moving average.

I was only talking about the next 1 to 2 hours. The last bearish phase lasted a "whole day", so this rally up from $16 may still have an exciting top coming up soon tonight.  Smiley

Note: "On Average" these statements about rallies having an exciting top are usually true, nothing is certain.

Currently the ticker reporting on Mt. Gox is broken, so for all we know, we could have missed the top.

The charts are looking sick now, IMO sell now before the panic starts.

We seem to have lots of these guys around lately. We got publicity, and it brought in a bunch of people who have no clue what BTC should be worth, or how to forex good. Shouldn't everyone be eagerly separating them from their money?

Speculation will take care of that Smiley

But the process could achieve its goal faster if mtgox enables margin trading, or if more people start to use bitoption.org

Bitcoin will become more valuable when/if it becomes more useful
Bitcoin will become more useful when/if it becomes more stable
Bitcoin will become more stable when/if speculators but when supply is high and sell when demand is high
Speculators will profit if they correctly guess supply and demand and lose money when they don't.
Successful speculators make Bitcoin more stable. Unssuccessful speculators make it less stable.
Unssuccessful speculators go broke or quit. Successful speculators remain, creating added stability.
Bitcoin will become more stable over time.
Bitcoin will become more useful over time because of increased stability.
Bitcoin will become more valuable because of increased utility.
