So I have litecoin-qt up and running and I have 3 computers solo mining litecoin right this second. I am pulling about 3800kh/s but I have only found two blocks so far. Looking at a calculator or two one would expect to find on average about 1 block a day with my setup.

Because of this I am wondering if something is wrong.

More about my setup:

So on my main gaming rig I have a 7970 and a 6950 mining away getting about 1000kh/s combined (yeah, the diamond 7970 is a piece of junk and only pulls 520kh/s)... These two cards are getting a good bit of HW errors (20 or so each after a couple of days up) and haven't had anything accepted after 7 days.

Litecoin-qt is running on this comp and the config looks like this:

"
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
rpcallowip=*
rpcport=9332
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0

block_nTime=1317972665
block_nNonce=2084524493
maxconnections=24
"

I set max connections to 24 as I was having difficulty connecting to many nodes and someone suggested this... This is counterintuitive as you would think you don't want to limit your connections so please let me know if this is wrong.

Also, could it be rcpallowip=* is not right? I believe I just had the IPs of the other computers hardcoded into the config file when the first two blocks were found...

Second rig:

has 3 7870s.... getting about 10 or so rejected shares... None accepted so far but only been mining 3 or so days

Third Rig:

3 5970s... I believe this is the computer that has submitted all the shares so far but I can't be sure because it shut down before I could check it. Since day two (after both blocks were found) it has not had anything accepted and has 10 or sorejected per core.

Thanks for any input or suggestions,
Andrew

tbh as well... 1MHash is really not all that much these days... i'd point at a pool to guarantee u get some, as difficulty has readjusted twice since u started 7 days ago and more than doubled, so u were lucky to get 2 blocks by my count...

using http://dustcoin.com/mining

you can input ur hashrate...  and it estimates u will get about 38 coins per day...

You know that mining relies on a certain amount of luck, and u could be searching for 3 -5 days when ur expected to get a block every day for example, then u may solve 2 very quickly, just depends how lucky u get, but with the difficulty expected to be over 200 at next adjustment and 5TH + on the network... time to join a pool even with ur high hash rate.

http://allchains.info/ is what i use for the difficulty estimations

https://www.coinotron.com
and
http://pool-x.eu

two pools that I like

hope this helped Smiley
