I know this should be in hardware, but I'm only allowed to post here at the moment until I graduate from noob status.

My motherboard has two PCIe slots, on the specs it says:

1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 (running at x16)
1 x PCIe 2.0 x1

Does this allow me to run two 7970's? Or can I only use one and a smaller card on the lesser slot?  I have a 750W psu, so assuming I can run two, I should have enough power.

Further question: Using GUIMiner - does it automatically recognise two cards and mine with both? Or do you have to do some config work?

TIA
