I bought an iPhone 5 from hardsoft on Bitmit. He convinced me over Skype to take it off of Bitmit and pay him via a mix of Bitcoin and PayPal directly, to which I agreed (stupid, I know). After I paid, he claimed to have shipped the next day but kept on delaying giving me the tracking information. On the day I was supposed to receive the iPhone, of course I didn't, and he blocked me on Skype.

For people who might be searching in Spanish, "Manuel Roldán Arroyo es un estafador".

I did some research and I listed all the information I know about him below. I'm hoping this will prevent other people from being scammed by hardsoft.

He also has negative feedback on BC Changer (see http://bcchanger.com/members/hardsoft).

Relevant Information:

Bitmit Auction URL: https://www.bitmit.net/en/item/21592-iphone-5-unlocked

I paid him $177.34 via PayPal and 2.46 BTC.

If you are hardsoft, you can clear this up by paying me back the Bitcoins you stole from me. Then I will acknowledge that you did the right thing publicly.

I just won an auction on Bitmit from someone with the same address: 1EJo2Kern8mtLYUyDiYo6dNWzvuc83PqaA

Obviously I won't be sending any money other than bitcoins through escrow on Bitmit, but are there risks in doing that as well? Doesn't look like I should bother.

His current Bitmit account is "amado"

If he doesn't ship (and I doubt he will), your bitcoins will just sit in escrow for up to 14 days. I guess that's the risk, if you want to take it. Can I ask how you found this thread after you won that auction? I'm glad the word is getting out about this guy.

He gave me the same address, and when I checked it on blockchain.info there was a note leading to here. I assume this wouldn't work out if he was smart enough to use a different address though.

It turns out that someone used "buy it now" on Bitmit before the auction ended. It shows that I won even though I didn't (contacted Bitmit and they are going to fix the bug).
The guy still gave me information to pay, even though he knows someone else purchased it, which just adds to the scam.
