I experienced the same problem a few times.
U have 2 options:
- relaunch client with -rescan (voodoo magic, sometimes works)
- wait for 24 hours, the transaction should appear in the blockchain or funds will come back.

If the transaction hasn't been broadcasted or was blocked by other peers, which looks to be the case, none of this will work. Your best bet is contacting btcguild and see what's up.

I have the same problem, never seen this before.

A couple of transactions, both of them originating from my bitcoind: I have a txid
but it does not appear anywhere. Both of them with fees too. Other transactions,
both before and after, went as usual. Do not know what I should do.

Better yet: Use pywallet to delete the non-broadcasted transaction, then rescan, get your coins back and spend them in a new transaction.
Works every time and it's much faster than just waiting or hoping a rescan will magically include it in a block
