安岳县纪委相关负责人表示，13日上午，由该县一名纪委分管常委牵头，抽调精干人员组成的专案调查组进驻增花村开展调查。同时，县纪委责成乡党委暂停增花村党支部书记杨秀光职务，配合接受调查。13日中午，安岳县纪委在官网上发布了相关信息，并称将及时发布后续查处情况。

10月19日，记者从四川省纪委获悉：报道见报后，四川省纪委高度重视，几名委厅领导先后做出书面批示；省纪委党风政风监督室向资阳市纪委转达了委厅领导的批示，并要求资阳市纪委在11月上旬公布此事的调查结果。
