you seem to be arguing that the real coin supply was much lower because
There was a ~6,000,000 coin start. according to this thread and the one you linked. There was an ICO and a burn for this coin, which originally gave this coin value. That burn that was meant to represent original investment has now been turned into dev coins.
no more than 10million coins were mined, use your brain, there was only a 2% a year stake rate.

possibly the problem here is that you're not appreciating what a 16s block time does to a coin supply.
nor that annual interest = compounding interest, interest is calculated at each PoS block based on coinage in relation to "annual interest"
hmm. basically, if you could stake the same coins daily you would get standard compounding interest.

x1 = x0 + (2% /365)
x2 = x1 + (2% /365)
x3 = x2 + (2% /365)
etc => 2% compounding 365 times in a year
obviously it only compounds upon staking, so if it staked every week, it would only compound 52 times
..

(at 40 secs, there should be about 2160 blocks per day.
roughly coin was released late september, time til early may = 7 1/2 months.
expected block count by that point should be < 500,000 )
lets pretend half of those were PoW (no idea of correct number), which suggests an extra 4.4 million coins already.
then ,, add another year of hybrid (with reduced rewards) ..
so,
haha i am not going to guestimate the block count, nor the total coin supply after that period.
but obviously not 6 million coins, and obviouisly not only 2% of 6mill/year.

see post below, there was no max coin supply for EXCL OLD.perhaps this was also part of the misunderstanding.
there could have been 1 billion theoretical EXCL OLD at coin swap if the chain was old/big enough.
