Yes, just as if I were arrested and jailed for a long time for an act of civil disobedience, I would engage in a similar act after getting out. It's not about my personal finances (and even if it were, I have diversified my non-fiat savings). It's about supporting a technology that I believe can change the world.

Hmm, an inexplicable attack on an explicable cryptocurrency destroys it, eh?

If we do go with another cryptocurrency despite that, ought we go with an explicable one or an inexplicable one?

Sure I would. But I also didn't invest millions in bitcoin, as I think it's still pretty vulnerable to attack.
