Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

They mix coins with another set of coins to remove the trace to where it came from and where it is going. In the mixing process the connection between where the coin came from to where it will go is break by the mixing and replaced with a new address.
Basically it is for anonimity purpose.

Just wondering, But what do bitcoin mixers do?

Bitcoin mixer will mix your bitcoins in the multiple pieces and they will able to send to different wallet or group it into single wallet. You fond bitmixer and cryptomixer to mix your bitcoins. They have fine reputation here in forum.

Bitcoin Mixer just received bitcoins form your and after that they just changes many addresses and sends the bitcoins from new address to your desired location of bitcoins so no body can track from where the bitcoins really came from after mixing it become very hard to know that from where the bitcoins came although became impossible.

They have all explained what bitcoin mixing is. If you want to test it out try in cryptomixer, just click on my signature. The minimum is 0.001 btc so you can test it out and see for yourself what it does without putting too much money in it. It is good to use bitcoin mixer for privacy.

Actually the level of anonymity bitcoin itself provide is only enough for low level of privacy, and if anyone want higher level of privacy regarding their financial/bitcoin transaction they use mixing/tumbling services. You can also check more about bitcoin mixing here https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mixing_service

Usually people use Bitcoin mixers to hide transactions. If someone like to be anonymous mixers help them to make that executed transactions are very difficult or impossible to trace. Of course, for each such service pay a %

But I think this is what most hackers will do to prevent the track from been traced.
I believe bitcoin offers all the necessary privacy one requires, hence why the the need for all these coin mixing if I may ask?

I don't like the term laundering, because laundering means that you take funds from criminal activity and process it so that it appears to come from legit activity.

Bitmixers do not do that, they simply enhance privacy. It is like going to a bank and exchange dollar bills for other dollar bills, when you had reason to believe that someone keeps track of the dollar bills serial numbers.

Naturally governments would call it laundering anyways, because governments do not like privacy.  Grin

Bitcoin mixers are used for mixing your addresses with some other so that no one know that these bitcoins came from your address and according to my views you can use bitcoin mixer in cases if you have some bitcoins in wallet which will be verifies and you want to use them in a place where you do not want to show your self and do not want to show to the wallet team that you are spending on that place.

Governments are not keen on Bitcoin as it offers people financial freedom by enabling them to store money outside the rotten banking system.

If they hate something for a certain reason, then this will be the exact reason. And in this case it's Bitcoin that receives all the blame.

Firstly, the coins are being mixed and not addresses. In reality you just receive new (fresh/clean) coins in return.

Your coins will at some point land into someone else's wallet as being their fresh coins.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

Other members  here already said  about  bitcoin mixers which serves  that they would  mix your bitcoin on   random addresses and   directly send it  to your desired address. I would recommend   bitmixer.io shown  on  my  signature  hence they have great service and  low fees on  each  mixing.

Bitmixer is one of the toughest mixing servicing in the entire time with bitcoin mixing industry. And this has been trusted by a lot of people.

I will just going to some exaple for the people who still don't understand what mixers do with your bitcoin and its effect.

There are some countries that don't allow some money that came from gambling so you are not able to get your money if you are selling your bitcoins there.

So upon using mixers they will make your bitcoins unknown from where you got it.
