Hey everyone. Need some help.

Yesterday I was on Armory version 0.92, since this is the version I always used and it's worked for me. I then wanted to send 0.9 of my 0.91 bitcoins. When I went ahead to send, I received this message:

"The transaction that you just executed, does not appear to have been accepted by the Bitcoin network yet. This can happen for a variety of reasons.
On some occasions the transaction actually will succeed and this message is displayed prematurely. To confirm whether the the transaction actually succeeded, you can try this direct link to blockchain.info:

https://blockchain.info/tx/77523147796d656edcf47775ee866a72f505c3350493b5258ec96ab05eddd6b4
"

I went to the link, refreshed for about 5 min, but the transaction never went through. The recipient (myself on another account) does not have the bitcoins either.

OK, so I went ahead and upgraded to Armory 0.95 and the latest BitCoinQt. I deleted both the old Armory and the BitCoinQt software and re-installed everything from scratch. I have paper backups of my Armory wallet, so I restored the wallet.

Problem:
Now, instead of showing my original balance of 0.916xxxx bitcoins, I am shown a balance of 0.194xxx bitcoins. Again, the recipient has not received any of the bitcoins.

Any thoughts as to what happened? Did I lose the bitcoins?
Chris!

Blockchain.info has been having trouble the past few days I've noticed. I did try blocktrail but can't find the transaction there either. Could you post the sending / receiving address?

Sure.

Receiving address:
1GutjWefrUPG7yCW9mxWx1BJcAaErJZ6F8

How do I find the sending address of my Armory wallet? The attempted transactions don't show up, unfortunately.

You restored it, so Armory probably did not look ahead far enough to see all of the addresses that you have used so it does not know the full balance. Double click on your wallet inside Armory. Then click on the number and it will open another dialog. Click Compute. If you don't see your balance after that, go to Help > Rescan Balance.

I don't quite believe you had Armory 0.92 sync'ed with the current network. That's an age old implementation with poor scaling. It was already failing for a majority of users around block #300k, so my take is that you were not up to date with the network, so your balance was not correct to begin with.

Can we see some logs?

This may be true. I re-scanned the balance but it still shows the same number.

I tried to PM you my logs but there doesn't seem to be a good way to attach them. Copying into body exceeds character limit.

This is the 0.95 logs. I guess you nuked the previous log files while reinstalling?

These logs show you are up to date with the network.

You say you had some 0.9 BTC before and now only see 0.17. In your transaction ledger, do you see transactions that suggest at some point you had 0.9 and  0.72 were spent, or does it suggest you only ever had as much as 0.17?

If the later is the case, refer to achow's advice.

I don't have the 0.92 version logs. As you say, I completely killed that install.

I followed Achow's advice. Still 0.19 bitcoins.

I am not ruling out that the 0.92 version was just showing a wrong balance.

With that said, I distinctly remember the 0.91 balance being shown the entire time since my last transaction, even when the 0.92 version wasn't old.

How many addresses do you have computed? Did you have other wallets? If you have several wallets, have you tagged them all as yours?

My Transactions:
2016 Aug 23 Restored -0.3409
2016 March 12 Restored -0.2664
2015 Oct 15 Restored -0.2511
2015 Oct 08 Restored -0.2644
2015 Oct 08 Restored 1.06
2015 Oct 06 Restored 0.25709

This is all that is shown.

There are 7 addresses in my wallet. All with 0 balances except 2, which add up to my wallet's balance of 0.194 bitcoins.  I had no other wallets.

Do you remember funding your wallet after Aug 23rd 2016?

Did you sign offline? Do you have a digital copy of your previous wallet somewhere?

I did not fund my wallet after Aug 23rd 2016.

Never signed offline. Have no digital copies, only paper backups.

I think the 0.19 is the correct number. Ugh. Sorry guys.
