Is anyone else having trouble depositing bitcoins to Mt Gox right now? My deposit has over 14 confirmations and still doesn't show in my account.

On their blog, they wrote about a similar issue on March 20 and it's marked as RESOLVED yet it seems this is the same issue as that day.

How long did it take them to resolve the issue when it occurred on March 20?

I had the same problem, eventually it appeared on my account... Immediately after the fall from $145... coincidence?

Probably many wanted to sell at that price but could not due to slowdown... and when their bitcoins arrived, the price dropped.

I was (NAIVELY) attempting a little arbitrage by buying a few on BTC-E for $130 when Gox was on $138 - but that is completely stupid now that I think about the time taken to transfer the bitcoins. I just hope the price is above $130 when the issue is finally resolved.

This was the support ticket response in relation to my delayed depost

-------/

Danny, Apr 04 01:14 (JST):
Hello,

Due to slow network, bitcoin deposits are delayed at the moment. We are working to resolve this and deposit speed should appear after 6 confirmations as usual. Our apologies once again for the delay and inconvenience caused. Thank you for your patience while we work to resolve this.

Thanks,

MtGox.com Team

Same problem; I did two deposits to my current Mt. Gox-supplied deposit address

https://blockchain.info/address/1BjyzXsZi5VcmFMpvrYNgUj6ubCZzuHTBT

this morning, sizes 2.4785 and 0.999 BTC; they've received 10 and 32 confirmations, respectively, but they still have not been credited to my account.

-Mike

UPDATE: The 0.999 BTC deposit was just credited, but the other one still hasn't been.

If all the sovereign non-cryptocurrencies will eventually collapse from hyperinflation, you can't afford *not* to invest in Bitcoin...  See my blog at http://minetopics.blogspot.com/ .

So if someone wants to pump bitcoin's price, s/he can DDOS mtgox's network thus blocking deposits and creating deficit of bitcoins on stock. Good to know.

i did not open a support ticket yet.

did anyone have a delay, not open a support ticket, and the btc arrived while just waiting?

i am trying to determine if i should open a ticket. seems pointless as they are already aware of the problem...

Yes, but it took 6 hours to naturally resolve itself. I wouldn't bother opening a ticket at this point. If you check Mt Gox's twitter feed, it seems that everyone is getting the same copy+paste response.
